Mayor of London & Tate Collective: #LDNWMN Campaign

My artwork was inspired by Jane Drew, who was my favourite kind of woman - an unapologetic woman who spoke her mind. Drew was an architect and town planner, creating an all-female architectural office at a time where the industry was heavily male-dominated. I created 7 digital portraits on display at Boxpark Croydon to honour her legacy. The background pattern draws inspiration from a secondary school designed by Drew in Chandigarh, India in 1967.

Commissioned by the Mayor of London and curated by Tate Collective, LDN WMN is a campaign marking 100 years since women first won the right to vote in the UK. The campaign is a series of free public artworks created by 20 women and non-binary artists, inspired by unsung women heroes from London's history. The artworks were on public display throughout London during October 2018.
